Worship is at the very heart of our life at St George’s. Here at St George’s we have a strong choral tradition that is reflected in our traditional style of worship.
Celebration of the Eucharist is central to our worship at St George’s, with a communion service taking place each day. In this offering of prayer and praise, the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are recalled through the proclamation of the word and the celebration of the sacrament. The principal service of the week is on Sunday morning at 9:30 am.
We use Common Worship as the core of our Eucharistic services and The Book of Common Prayer for Choral Evensong.
Daily prayer is said each weekday morning at 8:30 am in church. For those unable to come to church, daily prayers are available in the left menu
Daily Prayer texts are copyright of The Archbishops’ Council of the Church of England 2002-2004 |
